Crystal Jade Kitchen @ J8; UmaUma at Century Square

I ordered this stew beef brisket noodle ... [pic was taken when i was almost half done~] ohhhh... i really think its good...! and ppl! look at the noodles pls... its so fine! Tts what we call ehm "mee kia~" I kept praisin the noodles then joc commented tt "mee kia" is like that one ah~... yes she's rite but hello! I've sampled so many "mee kia" which is so thick loh~ orh! another good noodle place is [i dun rem stall name] at sunshine plaza where their fried wonton is very famous. Their noodles also v fine! tt's what I call mee kia ma~k back to CJ... the noodle's gd! springy~ nice most importantly its nt thick so it passed my criteria~ but for ppl who dun really take beef u might nt wanna try it cos the soup's flavour will be abit too strong for ya~ for beef lovers... go eat! the beef brisket is so nice.... tender and tasty! CJ shld be familiar to u ppl lah so I can do away with more descriptions~ I tried the same dish at other outlets like Taka but J8's still the best. after which, I went nua-ing in marina sq~cant wait for it to be fully opened~ then there's this cafe I like lol... People Say, tho me've yet to sample any of their food/beverages~ [a note here. SO SAD! It closed down b4 korean craze hits SG!] den meet fl aft her yoga class for dinner in orchard~ ajisen too crowded... in the end we went suki ramen @ cine~ reason bcos its cheap lol. it was all too late b4 i rem hirotei ... [no pic & hirotei closed 2 y!? Hirotei serves very authentic Jap cuisine and the price, for the quality, I would say its rather affordable. ONCE located at killiney road~]

The following day, met FL for lunch cos nice me accompanied her to buy watch lol and with every $30 spent at the mall... u'r entitled to try the choc fountain! fl was entitled to cos she bought a watch! but it was all fully redeemed! I'm v disappointed! really am~ hmph~ den in search for lunch~ had the intention to settle for some lousy korean food in foodcourts if we cant decide what to have~ then we saw this jap rest Uma Uma Men ... fl said its from sakae ... tho we just had jap food the previous nite, we decided to check out the menu~ we eventually settled for the place cos they gt this 1-for-1 set meals for UOB cardholders LOL! [eh i must say... UOB simply rulz loh~best dining privileges...] haha and the place is qte nice.. not bad I like... they do the noodles on the spot... tho i nvr see... here's wat we ordered... Mini 'Men' & Don set [fl] n Soba & Don Set [me!]i've always prefer soba! haha ppl... luff at my big big spoon![After me intro this place to aileena, she and chuanteck have been frequenting the restaurant. @ ChompChomp Serangoon Garden

chomp chomp ... a place i'm very familiar with... at serangoon gardens.... i'm frequent tt place often bcos of dad... we used to the call the place 'ang-sa-lee' but i've changed to callin it 'chomp chomp' cos... its named 'chomp chomp' lol ~i prefer the old 'ang-sa-lee' ... its much dirtier, messier, noisier and crampy but the food den was so much better... maybe bcos the old hawkers had moved or tt they've passed down their woks to the next generation .. i dunno....but still... there's some food which are still goood... fried hokkien mee... i think there's like 2 stalls there... but ppl... the better one is located further inside the food centre... its good... simply good

ok... qy ordered this... but i think she ordered from the wrong stall cos hor... the chilly tastes differently... nt as gd... tho the mee itself is alrite... ehm... they use this thin thin kinda vermicelli which I personally prefer in hokkien mee :)ok... then there's this fried carrot cake is gd also... i think its somewhere in the middle of the food centre... but the original hawker got a stroke or sthg then he cant cook liao... so i think... dunno if his wife or son doing the frying... but the standard's still ok cos tthe carrot cake is handmade... but tt day we din order~ buahahahgrilled sotong~ eh honestly.. this is qte good! facing the food centre, the stall's located on the extreme left ehm tink its the ist BBQ stall counting fr the last food stall... [there are alot of BBQ stalls... n a lot of food stalls are recommended by those TV food reviews progs~, so ... u guys just go by ya feel n take ya pick ba~]ok then from the same stall... its the BBQ stingray.... well... besides fresh ingredients [most impt is the sting ray of cos!] used... the v impt thing is wat....................................................???

yes ppl... u ppl are clever~ its CHILLI!this is ok .. but i'll prefer it to be spicier!ok... and ppl beware.... tho the place's been renovated n its much cleaner than the good old days, rats do make their guest appearances at nite esp when u sit near to the washing area.... den... if u are not wearing long pants... lol....nothing much... just tt cats smtimes do lean against ya legs~ lol... dun scream... just Jump!

Dim Sum Buffet @ DragonGate

today i went for dim sum buffet at DragonGate Restaurant...located at harbourfront, 4th flr~ tho not bad hor but i simply prefer DragonPearl's at Taka... but rest it ppl cos its been closed down! lol~ Pearl got more variety and gt my dim sum buffet 必点的肠粉！then they gt more steamed items n gt 炒饭bt i prefer 香港面！ now tt i'm recalling... its really much better eh~ lol tho close down le~ but Gate's dessert's nicer.... the mixed fruits sago n lotus red bean paste~ yeah i like red bean leh~ i forgot wat i had for dessert at Pearl... mango puddin issit? dun qte rem~actually.... i must confess... i'm a glutton whahahah! tt time pearl cost me ard $22 then Gate costs ~$15. Gate got 28 varieties to choose from...eh not alot ok cos if u minus this minus tt tt u dun eat, its ... not alot hahha but still we ate alot! alot ok....! ppl..... shout with me! ALOT! [we = me + xn] oh... actually dim sum is not v healthy... its fattening.... i've read an article on dim sum and they actually listed down their fat contents lah blah blah blah ... make a guess... which item is the most fattening.....? ANS: i dun rem! lol.... what goes into my brain will only be registered for a short time span!seriously... i dun qte rem... but i think its siew mai~

Japanese ala spaghetti was my choice.... not bad... very jap style... ehmm... at least the sauce is... haha~

Clayfish Spaghetti is wat meilin ordered... ehm~ clayfish spag ba~ v cheesy! Has a strong and rich flavour quite nice also

This is wat wenqi ordered... I think its call... ehhmmm.... kung bao spag? basically this is hk-style...with chestnuts and kung bao diced chicken as the dish name suggests... I wont recommend u guys to try this la... there's better choice ok~ heeheehaa

ohhh... this is the best... mabelle ordered this spicy seafood spag ~ haha... v nice... but as usual I dun rem the dish name.... but this is spicy... v nice... I give 4 thumbs :)

I dun rem how much total bill came to but its not too cheap. I think each plate costs above $15.

Located at Takashimaya Basement, opp MOS burger restaurant. This place is always packed.

Food in Bangkok n Changi Airport~

yeah~!!! u saw u saw! lol! I think I'll dedicate this blog to food pictures! lol! ok of cos ... there shall be some narrations.... hmmm BK! BK! BK! BK! this is mushroom swiss burger meal! a meal ok! I ordered a meal at Changi Airport BK @ 11+pm on 11/7/05 with fengling! Cos its been long since we had BK in the middle of the nite! N me loves the airport k. haha I wanted a mushroom swiss whopper but she ordered jus a normal mushroom swiss... but me alrite wif tt! haha. drool ppl .... drool... The cheese slices looked [click on pic to enlarge image] and tasted nice but the beef was a little dry :(

ohh... check this out... on the left is the fried rice with shrimps.... there's a lot of shrimps in it n the shrimps are nt small... they shld be called prawns lol~ my travelmates tried this in bangkok...an indian n thai rest... [me dun have address to the place so sorry] then hor... the servin is big rite? yah... thai mah... rice cheap so big serving~

oh oh.... then I ate this on the right : tom yam kung (with v generous servings of prawns in it... gt 10 u noe...) and white rice.... toking abt rice... just look at the serving... it's supposed to be a plate, a normal plate I suppose. but wat they served can at least serve 2 persons~ fl ate mutton briyani.... she also cant fin.... Overall taste: I forgot! But wasn't too bad.
