Fast Food

Woah~~~~ I decided to write a little entry on 'Fast Food' becos right now, I have a copy of discount coupons for BurgerKing (BK) in front of me and I'm hungry at this hour. I searched the web and I couldn't get information on the year when BK was brought into Singapore. Well... When I was a kid, I heard on the radio that the 1st FF restaurant in SG was BK. My dad told me that as well... but now I dun have any statistics to back me up. On the other hand, I found out that an article claimed A&W was the 1st (1966), followed by KFC in 1977, MacDonald's in 1979, PizzaHut in 1986, MOS Burger in 1995 etc... Did I miss out on some info? So when did BK start it's 1st branch here in SG?

Ah, A&W... I only rem their RootBeerFloat, waffles/hotdogs and curly fries lol... Sad that they ceased operations of their 7 outlets here in 2003. So did TacoBell... They had a joint coorperation with KFC before they closed down rite? And know what? Taco once had a slogan that goes: Taca-Taca-Taca-Taca-Taca-Taca-TACOBELL! LOL.... tt made me luffed. Talking about KFC... do u know that Crispy Chicken's only introduced here in 1990 haha! Before tat we were having the ORIGINAL ... but that was good right ... fragrant. Aiya I wan their cheesefeast ...

Now BK ...! I read that they once had this Slogan: Eat like a king, Not a clown. And that was in reference to Ronald MacDonald! LOL! wo00000t~ I was browsing their websites and were so eye-satisfying and I was hoping to find my childhood-twin-cheeseburger but I couldn't find it. I had that when I was a kid leh~ It looked like this.... hahahah. Each was no bigger than the size of MY fist, meaning small la~ I was asking around but apparently, nobody rem this item which was on the menu THEN... I'm gonna try my brothers next ... think I was ard 8 then? Mom used to bring us down to Shenton Way and there's an ultra big BK there! The outlet's really BIG! But tore down already. My fav .... :(

And look at that! BK stacker! I want that! Fly to UK eat lol! aiya... They've got bigger portions... I ate 'Hungry Jack' (BK tt's franchised and branded in Australia) b4 hoooooo.... big! haha~ then they also have triple whopper! We only have double here~ Bring in triple!

K not a big fan of Long John Silver's and MOS...

Carl's Jr. serves big burgers... lol. That made ppl happy and Its not a point of whether or not I can finish that k... Its not disgraceful if u can't finish ALL ya food and neither is it if u can... I dun understand why ppl keep harping on such issues~ well... and the low-carbs thingy~ Carl's and Mos have burgers where they substitute the bread with lettuces.... (-_-)" ... If u really want that, then go to the extreme... request ya meat patty to be steamed instead, say NO to mayo, cheese slices, sauces ... oh and no fries... no softdrink too. Replace them with ehm... greens with no dressing and a yoghurt drink~

Hai... for what? Health ... I know but if u r able to, indulge once in a while.
